all my piercings ive had enjoy gotten infected even tho i clean them regularly and dont touch them with dirty hand. my tongue piercing has always given me grief and alot of misery. could i possibly need a titanium bar or also could it be pierced close to a bottle?

Answers:    You are probably like me in that you are allergic to the nickel surrounded by the stainless steel and any other metal, including silver that has nickel in it. My allergist (doctor) told me near is no official 'test' for nickel allergies except for the reaction to metal that have it. He told me that the only way not to hold a reaction to it is to only wear 14K gold ingots and up. "You're a very expensive woman!" He said! LOL! You can also try costume jewelry that is labeled "Nickel Free". That works for me too, providing it really IS nickel free!.

Most stainless steel have a little bit of Nickel added to it to make it shinier. Many population are allergic to Nickel.
Your best bet is Titanium. hmmm... im not sure about titanium bar, but i judge you're allergic with stainless steel... but just to be sure, try to consult an allergologist...
