continuous firm coughing can cause tears in your throat that will bleed. You should desire professional medical attention as soon as you can. I would ignore the aids comment and chances are it's not coming from your lungs (if you be bleeding into your lungs you would find breathing very difficult and painful and you'd know it...). On the other mitt, that much damage to your throat can mess up your vocal cords and mete out other problems so it is imperative that you do seek medical attention. Hope you feel better! If it's seriously of bright red blood then it's really concerning and probably warrants a trip to the ER but if it's specks of blood mixed near mucus it's due to small capillaries that have ruptured due to the infection or from coughing a great deal. If it persists you should make an appointment beside your doctor on Monday..
The truth is it is common for this to happen. Especially if you are coughing closely, this puts a strain on your airways and irritates them causing them to bleed. I would talk to your doctor though as here may be a way to soothe your coughing and make you better so this nouns has a chance to restore to health up.
