Carpal tunnel syndrome? Do I own it?
I have to do abundantly of typing because about 90% of my homework has to be typed, so yeah. Idk if this matter but if it does, I'm a young teen and a lefty.
Did I just develop it?
Answers: You own repetitive stress injury, not necessarily carpal tunnel syndrome. Your wrists need plenty of rest and you need to thieve a break every 15 minutes. To help speed the healing, apply a cold pack to your wrist 20 mins on and 40 mins rotten, repeat as necessary to control the swelling..
I agree that it's just repetitive stress. I'm a software developer, so I type 7 days of the week. When I "lug a break" to play games at home, I get the same type of twinge. I used to get it at work from all of the typing, but that stopped after I get a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000.
It takes frequent repetitive stress and bad appendage posture to develop carpal tunnel. My mother was a secretary since the typewriter days, and it took her over 10 years to get it.
