Can anyone offer me some tips on how to readjust my sleeping pattern?
Obviously I need to modification this if I ever want a real job!
Answers: 1) No TV surrounded by the bedroom.
2) No caffeine for a day or so (yes, you might be cranky).
3) Force yourself to get up untimely so you are sleepy and then start going to bed at a normal time.
4) Make your sleeping place a stillness, peaceful place. Like with comfy clothes, undisturbed or have a relaxing CD playing low. If sound is an issue, conceivably run a fan not pointing toward you to drown it out.
I am an expert sleeper. I love it!.
You have to seize regular sleep at nights not in the morning.
Try and set a time, example 10:00 pm and manufacture sure you are in bed at that time. If there is any reverberation around, you have to block it out, by playing some music.
It will be very difficult, because your body is impossible to going to sleep so early. You could even read a book while in bed, as sometimes that can gross you sleepy, even if you don't sleep right away, at least you are in bed awaiting the moment to arrive.
If you stir to bed at 7:00 am, you have to sleep for at least 8 hrs which brings you to 3:00 pm. The time is just about finished and when you are to sleep vote 10:00pm you won't be able to. So re-adjust your sleep pattern so you sleep night not early morning.
Your noisy students will enjoy to learn that when certain time comes, it is hours of darkness time, which means rest time and not disturb others.
When things have better for you and you have finished your studies, you have to move out so you can go and get some peace and quiet..
force yourself awake the hour you want to get used to - drink coffee, do not consent to yourself lay down
DON'T TAKE NAPS!!
choose a specific time you want to get used to for your "shut-down" at nite, THEN you can allow yourself to fall asleep...
but you hafto stick to the times and you hafto do it every light of day!
depending on how long you've been a nite owl, it could take UPTO 3 MONTHS to FULLY adjust yourself...
but if you're merciful and you continue to force your sleep pattern to translation, it will.. eventually - the natural pattern for humans is rouse during the day/sleep during the nite - your body/habit/patterns will start to re-adjust...
start on a stretch of "kick-back" days - like a 4-day weekend or something... anyway, good luck!! :).
You could other try taking sleeping pills(buy them over the conter) or try listing to music or somthing or try going to bed eariler or do the old fasion path count sheep:P
