Anyone here is a compulsive eater?

I am, I do therapy, group conselling, nothing works.

Answers:    I can be - when I be younger I used food as an antidepressant. Now that I am older, I have worked to move my eating habits, but still run on binges.
I think it is more common than you realize..
I am a compulsive eater. Try going to the doctor, listen to adjectives advice. Try taking a college class in which you enjoy to work out or it affects your GPA...this helped me lose 60 pounds. Tr4y eating vegetables beside every meal. Have someone else do your shopping and only acquire bland healthy stuff. Distract yourself with interesting fit activities. Good luck. Have you considered going on anti-depressants and involving yourself in more comings and goings you enjoy doing??

I'm getting over bulimia (addicted to binging), and I understand what a frustrating problem this is. One piece that surprisingly worked for me, is that I started playing a lot of online sudoku to keep my mind busy. It worked so powerfully because I began looking forward to doing that instead of eating. I also found a video hobby I really liked and that helped hand over me something else positive besides the binging.

That, however, probably won't work for someone who is still at the heart of the problem, with no recovery progress, even so. I highly suggest discussing with your psychotherapist about gettng on anti-depressants. Eating large amounts of food (especially illustrious calorie/junk food tpe items) increases serotonin and dopamine in your brain, which act as "perceive good" chemicals. Your brain has become use to recieving this extra source of "feel good" chemicals, and have come to depend on it just to feel usual and happy. An anti-depressant will boost those levels for you, and can greatly suppress the urge to binge and overeat. I didn't want to travel on medicine, but couldn't believe how much better I felt and how much smaller number I craved so much food.

This may help in extra to medicine ... I would eat simply small amounts at a time, but very frequently during the day. Like, I would hold a bowl of cereal and then think "okay, it's okay I'm going to munch through again in just a couple of hours, I don't inevitability to have everything right now. I can build it just a couple hours and then hold something again". When the two hours come around, have another small thing, approaching a small sandwich, lean pocket (i love them :)), cup of fruit, etc. Yogurt helps me satisfy (mostly..) my sweet tooth. It is lower within calories, and has really sweet flavors, like banana cream pie, vanilla, white chocolate raspberry, etc. Just something you might want to try.

I strongly recommend the pills, though, because these little things you can do are probably not going to have a significant impact on the problem..
I used to be Chronic. In my teens and twenties I was anorexic and Bulimic. I started tackle the problem in my late twenties. By thirty I be completely cured. Lately though I have had lollie cravings. Like a touch kid. I think because I have be trying to cut back on alcohol (another compulsive habit). I am too. I don't understand it. I freshly find myself snacking on everything, all day long. I haven't figure out why I do it or what would help me stop. I think though that I do it smaller number when I keep myself busy. Like when I am cleaning or doing yard work, I guzzle less..
i am, as soon as i am home alone i eat everything i can take my hands on. I just shift from one snack to the next. It's really bad and zilch i do has stopped it. Right now i'm taking babe steps, cutting down what i eat little by little. yea but i only think to myself am i hungry and if not next dont eat
and do something to keep myself busy not presume about food.
I think so... a moment ago throw it up and you'll even it out
