It's been a week and I'm sick of it already. Is near anything I can do to stop the cough that goes along beside it? And no, I don't smoke. It is one of the side effects of this medicine. Grrrr! It's making me cracked!

Answers:    are you taking ACE inhibitors? the enzyme ACE, converts angiotensin I to angiotensin II, which is a very potent vasoconstrictor. however, aside from that, the enzyme ACE also breakdown bradykinwithin, which is responsible for coughing. if you inhibit this enzyme, bradykinin accumulate and thus, the coughing.
you can substitute angiotensin receptor blockers or ARBs which basically have the same effect minus the cough. because this drug does not inhibit the enzyme, but the receptor to which angiotensin II act. ask your doctor about this drug.
