Do u regard Visiting the sick is an duty ?
“The tale of the Believers in their mutual love and mercy is approaching that of a living body: if one part feel pain, the complete body suffers in sleeplessness and hallucination.”[1]
Visiting the sick is from the clearest signs of such mutual love, mercy and empathy. More than that, visiting the sick is a chief responsibility that every single Muslim is duty-bound to fulfill.

Assalaamu Alaikum Warahmatullah
Mashallah good site next to lots of information on the subject.
Let me provide a bit more as a Barakah:
Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in a Hadeeth: when you look in a sick person request him / her to supplicate for you, as Allah answers their supplications.
My elucidation to it through other ahaadeeth is that it is Blessings of Allah that Muslims gets sick so as to exoneration their sins. Once their sins are pardoned manifestly their supplications are readily answered by Allah.
May Allah create Love and affection in our heart towards Humanity Aameen.
Is visiting the sick an requisite? No, not really. You visit sick citizens in the hospital effect you want to do a nice thing, or because you thought about them. It's not an necessity.
Cheers
