Answers:    First you need to use cold wet to loosen the stain. Don't use hot water, it will in fact set it in.

Peroxide will work, but if the stain have set too long it may still leave for a moment behind on the runner (not to mention it may lighten the mat itself).

OxyClean has a spray cleaner that they own in the laundry isle of most stores. It works wonders! I would use that and scrub at the stain and tolerate it set. Come back contained by about an hour and scrub out the cleaner beside cold water and suck out any moisture beside a wet/dry vacuum. That should do the trick. Good luck with the stain!
