Answers:    MERRF (myoclonic epilepsy ragged red fibers) is a pretty few and far between disorder- I've never seen it nor hear of anyone with it- a overnight case of MELAS is as close as I've come.
I assume from your previous questions you are doing some research/ homework, so agree to me direct you to either 1. pub med (www.pubmed.com) and type contained by the term "MERRF" to find review articles regarding them. On the page, select "review articles" underneath search option to find articles that will discuss the disease, otherwise most articles will be about inventive research which may be less adjectives to you.
