Answers: if he bleeds from BOTH nares of the muzzle this means that the wreak of bleeding is systemic. which means it have nothing to do beside the nose...the most adjectives cause of bleeding surrounded by elderly is HYPERTENSION!! bleeding in this overnight case is a normal sequele of uncontrolled hpertension
while other cause could be liver diseases which lead to coagulopathy which way defective blood coagulation which consiquently leads to bleeding..
NB..contained by severe hypertension there may be bleeding from another body orifices....
i expect there's no need to do a CT if bleeding is from both nares as it cannot be a tumor because tumors explanation usually unilateral bleeding except in belated caises & if ur father was contained by late bag he would not be able to even stand up & he would hold suffered from severe headache & pain if here was an intracranial tumor..so no obligation for CT!
There are a few different things that could have cause this. The best thing to do is lift him straight to his doctor or the hospital. I would assume he needs a cranium CT and a review of medications he is on.
Has he done any excess work or be under any stress within the past 24 hours?

Because he's have two heart attacks, he's probably on blood thinners. It would be very flowing for a capillary in his proboscis to rupture for no apparent point and not clot quickly. Nevertheless, it's something that should be discussed next to his doctor. He may need a medication re-evaluation.
