First let me expand on the military and small pox. WHO (World Health Organization) eradicated small pox from the world within the early 70's next to a global hard work to isolate cases and immunize populations. The United States stopped vaccinate the general population surrounded by the early 80's and the U.S. military stopped some time subsequently. The military re-started vaccinating service member for small pox during the first gulf war and have contined mainly because small pox can be “weaponized” and used as a biological weapon. The military does not give a vaccination against to protect service members against populations that hold small pox.
I personally enjoy not learned of a correlation between vaccination and autism. In guess anything is possible and it shouldn't surprise anyone that when we introduce foreign substances into our body there could be gloomy results. Nearly every vaccination one can receive have some potential for negative side effects. There is a large amount written on this and the data is out within.
In the larger point though it is important to harmonize the positives with the negative and risk versus reward. As far as vaccinations are concerned they hold had an overwhelming positive impact on mankind.

Imagine a vaccination be developed for malaria and all these lives could be save. Could anyone argue against the use of it?
