You could smoothly have bone spurs surrounded by your hip (I do in both).
BUT, what it sounds similar to to me is that you have sciatica from your wager on from a bulging or herniated disc.
I have a disc bulge, and one of my symptoms is the pressure/pain within my hips...especially if I stretch my legs...the pressure can be unbearable at times.
Go to a doctor or a chiropractor for an evaluation.
I am seeing a Chiropractor to avoid surgery, and the treatment, so far, is working.
If your hip, vertebrae, knee, or any other amalgamated hurts at your age, it's likely from twist, not age... it happens somewhat often. Heck, I hurt my hip a couple weeks ago from zilch that I could think of (aside from sleeping on it wrong).
I'd suggest going to a Chiropractor and enjoy them check the joints that hurt. Most insurances will cover Chiropractic, and near adjustments, you should be aware of much better. I followed the instructions that a Chiropractor gave me a while ago and my hip feel better within a few days.
If you want more abet than that, you could also try some natural products for reciprocated health.
