if i look at something for a while (usually when it's hot) it starts to look like a spiral
Answers: those spots could be floaters, which are safe and anoying, or it could be an early sign of retinal detachment. to be on the sheltered side go see and opthomologist (eye doctor).
These spots are call floaters. They are caused by tiny clumps of gel within your eye tissue, which causes a pinpoint gloomy spot.
Floaters are harmless and eye doctors are reluctant to treat them, because the treatment may end in more harm than correct. Sometimes they fade away over time. Otherwise, they basically annoy the person who have them.
If you see floaters, accompanied by brief flashes of table lamp, this is also indicative of your retina becoming partially detached. In this valise, you should see an eye doctor.
