I am having surgery on Monday to achieve a skin graft done to close a hole in my leg from an infection I have. My donor site will be from my butt. I have a wound vac contained by it right now on my moved out shin. What should I expect with a skin graft and removal of my wound vac?

Answers:    Removal of the VAC and placement of a skin graft imply that the wound is much shallower than it was.

The donor site is somewhat bloody (the skin is "shaved" off), but heal quickly. Most wounds covered near a graft do well. Not adjectives are covered 100%, but in those the wound is much smaller and restorative is accelerated.
