If you remove what the fleas feed on, close to a person (we hold no pets) will they eventually go away?

And after they've gone away, will the fleas return if you put put a bet on said human? =D

Answers:    The fleas will stay. They can live in the mat. We moved into a house and after a few weeks we noticed in attendance were fleas within the house. We have no pets and the previous tenant had a puppy. The funny point is, a few months later we get 2 (indoor) cats and then the fleas disapeared. I reckon once we moved the cats in, the fleas found the cats and their flea prevention meds kill the fleas off. Haven't have a problem since. So, my advice is to bring a cat or have an exterminator give somebody a lift care of the problem. I surface for you. They are such a pain!!
