Do you hold to wage to combine alcoholics anonymous?

Answers:    Not in change.

You will be expected to pay near your self-worth, your self-will, your self-esteem, anything with "self-".

"We ask especially for freedom from self-will..." pg 87, Big Book.

You'll be skilled tht the self is bad, ALL your decision are wrong, that only by turning your will and your existence over to God (as imagined by the program of Alcoholics Anonymous) that you can be saved.

"Our physical purpose is to fit ourselves to be of maximum service to God..." pg 77, BB.
"We alcoholics are undisciplined. So we let God discipline us within the simple way we hold just outlined." pg 88, BB.

AA is not around qutting alcohol, that is see as a byproduct of getting "right with God". I would suggest that if a soul wants to find right with God, they should do it in the framework of a proper religion, rather that one that hide in church basements.

AA is little more than belief healing; it have a 5% success rate, impossible to tell apart as no treatment at all, however, relatives using AA are five times as likely to conclude up binge drining (Brandsma study) or six times as likely to closing stages up dead (Vaillant study) as those who chose to attempt quitting on their own.

"When organized, we say something close to this: “My Creator, I am now prepared that you should have adjectives of me, good and fruitless. I pray that you now remove from me every single irregularity of character which stands within the way of my usefulness to you and my fellow. Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do your bidding. Amen.” pg. 76, BB.
Somehow this does not strike me as "spiritual, not religious".

BTW: Dr. Walsh showed that "free" AA treatment completed up costing more due to repeated hospitalizations:

Not at all - at hand are no duties or fees. A donation bag is passed around at the run out of the meeting to collect money to take-home pay for the room hire but no-one checks what you put in - or even if you put anything within. If you don't want to put anything in - or can't afford to - that's not a problem. Many newcomer are penniless anyhow ;-)
