Does marijuana relieve stress?
Answers: It really depends on the person. If you are used to the effect (i.e. if you're a regular smoker), later yes it can relieve psychological stress (Note that I am not talking just about physical stress, this is increased by any drug, because your body tries to fight its effects). But have said that, if you are not used to it, it can pretty much produce the different effect. Your blood pressure increases, you can get slightly paranoid, restless and hyperactive etc... This doesn't transpire for everybody though, as I said it depends on the person.
I don't agree beside people motto you get depressed when you 'come down', neither I nor anyone I know have ever experienced that at all and I wonder if those answerers are only repeating what they learnt contained by some textbook...
But I agree with kevinmccleanblack, in that are many better ways to relieve stress. Try meditation, taking a amble in the park or exercise. Remember, it is comfortable to develop a psychological addiction to cannabis, just similar to cigarettes or alcohol. I don't agree with the flashbacks article though, you can get that near heavier drugs, but not with cannabis. It is also questionable whether it lead to using heavier drugs. There may be a correlation, but that doesn't mean that it is the wreak. Instead, the two (ie cannabis use and use of heavier drugs later on) may hold a common produce.
No, in some empire it can cause the reverse hostile response.
