Worried! anyone hold experience beside THYROID problems?
im 17 years old
my doctor notice a lump in my throat
he said it could be a goitre (in the thyroid gland)
he said ego have to hold a blood test and ultrasound scan to properly diagnose it
ive have the blood test, awaiting the results, and have the ultrasound soon
the thing is...
i own an extremely sensitive neck, almost close to a phobia of it being touched
i seize the shivers and cramp up when i think of have the ultrasound scan in a couple of weeks
and immediately ive just read on the internet of a girl who have the same poitential problem, but she also have to have an INJECTION IN HER NECK! this scare the hell out of me. im fine with injections contained by general but i a moment ago wouldnt be able to cope beside one in my d¨Ścolletage.. noo way
is it possible in poor health have to enjoy one? and could i ask to be put to sleep? (i know how pathetic that sounds, but the the creeps is so intense and irrational i dont know if id physically permit them go hard by my neck beside a needle if i be awake
Answers: Try not to worry so much. But if it does turn out that you'll have need of a shot, discuss your fears with your doctor beforehand.
I own two nieces who had to shift through similar experiences at your age. I would suggest you talk beside the doctor about your phobias and concerns. I'm sure they can contribute you something to relax you.
