Ok first of all they are formed by germs contained by your mouth and by bitting any part of your mouth and not brushing teeth. If you bit yourself and havent brushed you teeth the germs will travel in making a cold sore. Now getting rid of them lacking making it numb (I hate numbness) gargle Listerine over the coldsore unless you close to numbness.
