Answers:    Well this is the qualitys a soul would have to be capably suited for a career surrounded by Emergency Medical Services.

1) Good under pressure. You will be put surrounded by some hairy situations. :-\
2) Have a Cast Iron stomach. You can't be bothered by blood and guts. You will see some stuff that honestly not a soul should have to see, from homeless relations covered in human misuse, to people next to their brains splattered everywhere. You will see it all.
3) Able to concordat with emotion in a strong way. Because of the crazy stuff us folks contained by the EMS field see we enjoy to be able to business with our emotion. While this can be learned, it is rugged to develop healthy ways of doing so. Not becoming obese from over intake, not becoming alcoholics, and such.

You have to be a exceptionally outgoing assertive take charge party. You have to know how to arrive at a scene and take charge, convey people as prudently as possible to move out of the way, etc. Make some establish out off adjectives the chaos around you, while at matching time focusing on taking care of the forgiving, and watching your, and your partners wager on for danger.

I enjoy listed below somethings Pros and Cons almost a career within EMS. See what ya think. I will start near the good :-)

1) in attendance is no better feeling than that of knowing that you are devoteing your vivacity to helping others.
2) You get to drive quickly with the lights and siren going.. :-D
3) It is a HUGE adrenaline rush working EMS.....Sometimes..lol
4) You NEVER know what will come about. Every day of work, and every send for is differant! Just when you think you enjoy seen it adjectives you see something new.

Cons

1) Long work hours. 24hr hour shift next to 48hrs off are moderately common.
2) Very little sleep. You could confidently be awake over 24hrs at times.
3) High pressure. You don't do it right the first time, or you do it wrong, it could be the differance between life and destruction.
4) Actually kind of treacherous. Paramedics and EMTs have be shot, hit by cars, assaulted, etc.
5) Being assaulted. I have be hit, kicked, peed, pooped, puked, spit, and bleed on. While of course not adjectives those events are intentional, unfortunately associates can be very propose to those helping them
5) Very little recognision and understanding of your livelihood by the general public. Calling a Paramedic an 'Ambulance Driver' is a honest way to REALLY piss rotten a Paramedic. I did not go to conservatory for as long as I did to be an "Ambulance Driver"
If you want recognition from the public, become a firefighter, because you will not see much of it.

Other than that remember....
Firefighters liberate furniture, Paramedics save lives!

So at hand ya go! You get anymore questions throw me an E-mail and I will be more than blissful to assist you in anyway that I can. It is great to see someone taking an interest contained by the career I enjoy come to love! ;-)
I am an EMT and I loved it! It is a bit overwhelming to think around but once you do it, you will love it. The training is not hard at adjectives and you learn as you budge. No one expects you to know everything when you start. It is like anything else, you acquire better with practice. I suggest going to a local agency and asking if you can ride alone and see it first paw. Good Luck!
