I was a caregiver for 10 years until he died a few months ago. The ending couple of years was really intense - abet with bathing, dressing, etc. I still get the impression physically and emotionally exhaused. How long does it take to rest and what can I do to help the process?

Answers:    I'm going through this right very soon with my mom. I be aware of physically and emotionally exhausted. Hospice is involved, but it is very taxing. Plus, my daughter is pregnant next to quads. She lives some distance away and also needs my comfort and support. I can't tell you how long it take to recover, purely wanted to agree to you know that there are others contained by your shoes. Have you tried some short term counseling or even some short occupancy medication? I'm taking an anti-depressant and sometimes some sleeping meds. I'm glad I have it. I also lost my assignment unexpectedly and have my own chronic medical issues. Hang surrounded by there and merely take in the future at a time. I am not excessively spiritual, but do believe that things are in God's hand. Best wishes.
