Why do peoples finger nail look so shadows when they are unconscious (like a few days after death)?
Answers: Your fingers have profusely of small veins and arteries surrounded by them When an autopsy is done the body is embalmed. The blood is replaced near embalming fluid (formaldehyde) beside the fingers having such small vein it would be very rugged to get adjectives the blood out of them.Under the nails abundantly of this blood stays and within a few days the dried blood turns a material dark brown or black.You would find like look in the toenails too.
