There is so much you can do for all artificial from a loved one's dying:
You can help (of course) the dying personage get comfortable, or assist beside the hygiene.
(is nothing more defining than seeing our loved one being groomed and verbs on the death bed)
Help beside meal preparation and fire up the family to enjoy something light.(Nobody feel hungry and nobody thinks more or less cooking but is important to preserve everybody strong physically). Also help the dying individual if he needs to put away or drink something, though unlikely. If they are refusing to drink, don't press.
Stay close to the family, esp if in attendance is not enough house support and assist with burial preps or any housework they call for done.
Answer the phone and give the relatives privacy by screening unnecessary calls.
And second but not least, a moment ago be there for them and listen to anything they want to share beside you, be it happy memories from better days or in recent times a shoulder to cry.
I hope it helps. Keep up the great work
In auxiliary to your direct care duties, only be there and be available. You dont requirement to be a couselor, more times as not, these people of late want you to listen. Of course you make the long-suffering comfortable, keep them verbs, dry, fed and hydrated. Be present near the patient and the own flesh and blood and, most importantly, be honored that you have be invited to provide comfort to these folks in this time of want. Blessings
