Answers: It depends what you are drinking it for. Water is a great all round rehydrator, which should be used habitually throughout the day. The body is over 50% fluid so it make sense that we need to preserve these levels up as fluid is lost throughout the daylight by sweating, urinating, even breathing! Water is also great for helping flush toxins out of the body and help the colon function optimally.
However, if doing long or complicated exercise an electrolyte replacement drink will rehydrate you quicker and better because it has matching isotonic properties as the body, thereby making it faster and easier to absorb. Some of these drinks contain glucose which can benefit vitality levels contained by long duration and high intensity exercise (over just about an hour).
