How do I know if I own body dismorphia?
Despite that, in a minute at 5ft8" and 13 stone and currently fitting a size 14, I feel uglier than ever. I enjoy little self confidence in my appearance and it worries me constantly - which affects my social vivacity etc. I am slightly happier than I was contained by school but far smaller quantity happy than I be in college, when I be over a stone heavier. Now, at university I spend all my time comparing myself to the population around me who seem more attractive - even when they are the exact same size. I loathe my weight, but also teeth, and things that I would never even consideration on other people.
Do I hold body dismorphia or does everyone else have these worries, but I'm mortal overdramatic?
Answers: I wouldn't necessarily say you hold body dysmorphic disorder, only a mental strength professional can truly tell you that or not, but as someone who have gone through very similar situations to the ones you hold described above, I'd say you markedly sound depressed and hold a self-esteem problem. If you are at university, go see what counseling services are available to you. Most unis hold them available for free and they can be a huuuuge help surrounded by getting you on a healthy, merry track. If you need further help out, the counseling service may be able to refer you to a medical professional resembling a psychologist if they think you really might enjoy a serious depression problem that might require medication or BDD. Either way, counseling services will know how to provide you with some much needed psychotherapy and an outlet for these feelings that you hold.
you certainly nouns dysmorphic to me, you might benefit from some sessions with a cognitive behavioral analyst. Your a woman. most of your kind are a bit mental more or less looks and things. Put a picture on hot or not.com and get an inference from the masses.
