two weeks ago, I got raining on a really cold night... (water balloons).. i cannot stop coughing... its a loud raspy cough and it isn't letting up... is this a unpromising sign? anything I should do about it? or a moment ago wait?

Answers:    own you tried OTC remedies? a humidifier? Do you have other symptoms such as confusion, pain, decrease appetite, do you smoke?? It could be just give or take a few anything ie a cold, pneumonia, pertussis, asthma, smokers coughI'd get checked out by the PCP

You probaly get a cold virus. Antibiotics can not cure a virus. However, the cold could have settled contained by your lungs causinf an infection or bronchitis which can be treated with antibiotics.
