Is reading small set book unpromising for the eyes?

I have a ebook on my Ipod Touch and the set book is only in the region of .5cm tall. It's simple black paper on a white background. I could product it bigger but then I'd hold to scroll left to right and frankly I can;'t be bothered.

I can read this short too much trouble but is it bad for my eyes?
