My sister is having her tonsils and adenoids removed and she's description of scared. I have mine removed when I was 6 years dated and I don't even remember it cause I be so young. My sister is 25. I'm trying to abet her so she knows what to expect. One of her biggest concerns is the anesthesia. How do they put you under? With pills, a shot or how do they do it and does it engineer you goofy and make you right to be heard things you don't remember later? Also do they run any sympathetic of tests formerly the surgery and what are the tests for? If you own any kind of information or accommodating tips for her to put her mind at ease that would be great!

Answers:    Well aren't you a sweet sibling... dutiful for you looking out for your sis. I have these same question. I actually hold an ENT apt at 1:15 today to possibly schedule a tonsillectomy.

Maybe they can answer some of these question. I have a laundry inventory to go over w/ them myself. They may refer me to the surgeon for adjectives questions... we'll see. I'll save you posted!

They will put an "IV within the back of her foot, start a drip going then waddle you into the surgery room. Most likely they will put a pillow underneath her neck and she will get up up in the recouping room. Her throat will be sore for three to four days. It's possible to work but you don't feel resembling talking.
