I suffer from SAD and what works for me is to purchase a full spectrum light bulb call the Ott light and sit below it in the evening when I am watching tv or reading or doesn`t matter what. This mimics sunlight and the hours of light we lose during the shortened winter months and poses no danger to your skin the way that a tanning booth does.
When I started doing this my SAD symptoms resolved exceptionally quickly. Give it a try and if it does not relief please check into traditional Psychotherapy and meds which is what I have combined beside the lights at times .
