What is piles?
Answers: Piles is another permanent status for hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are varicose veins cause by strain and pressure and are as common as dirt. They are not usually a serious situation, more of an annoyance. Hemorrhoids can be external and/or internal. Internal hemorrhoids can protrude (stick out) and prolapse (fall outward). Unless there is excessive bleeding and stomach-ache, they are not normally treated surgically. Use an OTC hemorrhoid preparation such as Preparation H for spasm and itching. To prevent bleeding and further hemorrhoids, make sure that you munch through a high-fiber diet, don't strain to have a bowel movement, drink plenty of fluids (2-3 liters a day) and draw from exercise to stimulate persistalsis, the rhythmic movement of the intestines. Even a 30 minute walk everyday will sustain.
No reason to be worried. Hemorrhoids aren't fatal.
Increase your intake of high-fiber foods or supplements to loosen bowel movements. Consider use of over the counter topical treatments containing corticosteroids to help discomfort. If persists, see a physician. (see relation below for more information)
