Why do doctors prescribe pills instead of exercise and diet?

Lately, I have see a lot on the report dealing with size and all these other stoutness related diseases... As far as I know, doctors usually do tell patients they have need of to exercise. But do they emphasize exercise or only give the lenient medicine or both?

Answers:    Doctors want to see their patients HEALTHY. and what's hygienic for some, isn't necessarily good for others. For example someone could be overweight and develop diabetes, or hypertension as a result of the portliness. For these individuals, just "diet and exercise" will not 100% fix the problem, depending on their conditions. And sometimes, the podginess is a result of something physiologically occuring within the body, resembling a problem with the thyroid gland, or something hormonal. Not to read aloud that everyone who is obese cannot benefit from diet and exercise, but for some it's part of the solution not the utter answer. They key to seeing results, and getting the RIGHT support is being spread out and honest with your Dr. and yourself going on for what's really going on. Only then when you expose the source, can the Dr. & you work together to treat and fix it.

I hope this help! Best of Luck!
its easier to perscribe something because it keeps $$$ coming into the medical grazing land.
