you cannot change who you are. People will individual keep looking at them if you draw attention to them by covering them up etc.
Just get on with light of day to day vivacity and just delight in yourself - people will not spare a second thought at looking at them.
I have a head injury and have staples and stitches in my pave the way - no hair grows near now - thats how it will be for the rest of my life span. But dont draw attention to it - dont hide it - simply be yourself. Youll be fine - maybe first year youd get a few looks but after that things will grasp better
