A central medical expert say lowering the permitted drinking age could assist face up to the UK's Binge culture?
Will this help or weigh down the problem?
Answers: Kids are always going to be capable of get their hand on drink, whatever their age, so I don`t know by raising the age put a ceiling on, it not only take away the idea that drink is forbidden (which might bring in it so tempting to some of the more embryonic younger teenagers) but also brings teenage drinking out into the enlarge. This means they won't touch they need to smuggle their drink away to the local park and instead they will drink contained by a bar where on earth they can be watched and where on earth the barman can say he won't serve them anymore if he feel they've had ample.
Overall though, I think far more desires to be done than just lowering the age constrict. We have a ruinous, thuggish attitude to drink in the UK and this is the luggage for both adults (even those well into their fifties and sixties) as ably as kids. It's no point just pining the blame on teenagers when adults ill-treat alcohol too.
To be honest, until we see more maturity towards alcohol, probably what is needed is to heavily tax it. People will be more tight-fisted when it's their pockets that are being hit. And kids won't be capable of buy what they can't afford and Mummy and Daddy will be more watchful of the drinks cupboard if it cost them a bomb to preserve it topped up.
Get rid of alco pops and go vertebrae to spirits and beers. Alco pops are deceiving and lead to verbal abuse of alcohol.
