Colon Cancer? Crohn's Disease? 13 year mature girl freaking out here!!?
- Abdominal Pain/Discomfort
- Change in Bowl Stuff (constipation/the big D)
- Fatigue
- Weakness
- Blood on Toliet Paper (back end)
- Fever that comes and go
- Lower back discomfort (I do own scoliosis, but it's never felt close to this)
- Pain in abdomin feel like I'm hungry/full/or amazingly uncomfortable
- Wakes me up at hours of darkness for no reason
- Restless
- Trouble going to bathroom because it hurts (my flipside end)
I have X-Rays on Friday that be clear except for the fact I have some stool backed up contained by my colon. So, I was put on a laxative to verbs it out. I've been on it for 2 days, but I still own the pain. Ultra Sound showed zilch either. If this backache isn't gone by Monday, we're scheduling the test where on earth I drink barium and they do X-Ray's. Please tell me what you suggest this is. I was afraid it be Colon Cancer because my grandfather had it and I know Crohn's Disease (sometimes) go with Colon Cancer. Could it be that?

Answers: At your age I would doubt it is colon cancer.. Sounds to me close to you either hold Crohn's/Colitis or IBS.. If you have Crohns you should know when you seize the small bowel follow through (the barium test) if that shows something most likely it will be crohns if it does not show anything next and the pain is still going on trademark sure you get a colonoscopy. When ya go subsidise to the doctor, ask if they suggest u be put on a colon cleansing product.
You are going to the doctor on Monday, right? I'm sorry that I can't give you an answer right very soon except to wait until later and see what the test results are. There are SO various things that could be going on that without human being a doctor with adjectives test results contained by front of me, I could never diagnose something like this.
Trust your doctor hon and dangle on until Monday. I know it's tough and you are scared, but if it be VERY serious, they never would have agree to you go home.~
If they did the test, i would say you are OK. Constipation can really mess up your body, especially if it is severe. You are 13. It is probably too untimely to be worried about colon cancer. Crohn's is a possibility at your age and I quality if that is the overnight case they will find it and treat it. To allay your fears about colon issues, ask for a colonoscopy.
Give the meds some time to work and relaxing down. Worrying will not help you quality better.
It sure sounds like irritable bowel to me-I 've be there. Bring it up next to the doctor when you go subsequent. It won't hurt to do some tests to rule out something else but these symptoms and your presentation are pretty classic.
