I have a soviet grouping working gas mask. It is made out of latex and I enjoy a few questions in the region of it:

1. Is it waterproof?
2. Could you sleep contained by the mask? (not that I want to)
3. Would it give a hand someone with allergies to wear one?

Answers:    It should be rainproof to a certain extent.Do not submerge the cover.You can sleep in a blanket but only contained by a matter of vivacity or death b/c wearing a cloak for long term sucks.Latex rubber is the worst piece to have a protective shroud made of,b/c latex is rubber and rubber expands and contracts when the temp changes.Soviet mask are some of the worst on the market.For allergies surgical mask will work 3M makes assorted them,the N95 is a good choice.If you want a moral gas mask win an Israeli M15 or a US M40,for the money they are the best.

Alergies, depends on the alergen, if particulate then yes if the canister filter particles as okay as gases (should).
