We are currently renting from people. Long story short, near is a leak to be precise making a section of our living room hearth rug mold and mildew. I can't seem to seize rid of it. I have steam cleaned it and own an air purifier subsequent to it. My question is, could this be what is making me sick? I own had what seem like a sinus infection ever since we moved surrounded by. I have be on three different antibiotics but can't get rid of the headache and sinuses. Its TERRIBLE! So, can the mold be what is making me sick? And if so, how can I get rid of it lacking completely ripping up the carpet?

mold is a fundamentally serious problem - especially black mold which develops pretty soon after a leak. The overflow gets into the floor boards, into the cavity underneath the floor, and can be very expensive to remove/replace.

A party has to disclose if the house have a leak when they want to market it. If they don't and the new owner finds out afterwards that near was a escape (evidence: mold) the prev owner can be sued.

tell the owner this have to be fixed right away. if he is an ignorant owner notify him it affects the property value as described - I don`t know that will motivate him. Depending on what is needed to fix everything you many own to move out while it is all exposed/under construction.

near may also be a city department to call for form hazard if you do not comfort about your relationship beside the owner.

Sorry to hear you are having a horrifying time. Hope it gets fixed or you stipulation to move out. Having a leak within a house is just discouraging neglect and will cost more within the end to fix the longer the percolate exists.

I would not try to fix it myself. Carpet/padding is the best material for mold to grow surrounded by. I don't think in attendance is anything you can do to permanently remove mold spores from it. simply one spore can start multiplying during damp weather and create your sypmtoms to come back.

I have a small burst in a pipe, leak from the second floor bathroom into adjacent carpeted bedroom, from in that the leak fell to the hearth rug below. I could not believe my insurance paid to replace adjectives the carpeting in my home! Mold is that serious and difficult to find rid of.

The owner could check if their insurance pays for it. If it is a neglected maintenance item after insurance won't pay.

you can return with rid of mold temporarly with a wet bleach solution, but unfortunatly you have to obtain rid of the source completely for it to go away. It is definatly what is making you sick and if you verbs to breathe it in long occupancy it can result in disappearance. Good Luck!
