When I was young at heart I was told that I probably should hold my tonsils removed but I never got it done effect my parents couldn't really afford it. Then when I got to be resembling 11 or 12 I was told that I should hold my tonsils and adenoids removed and again I didn't get it done impose my parents couldn't afford it. Now that I'm older I'm finding that I'm have all sorts of throat and allergy problems and I'm strongly considering going to progress see doctor about getting my tonsils and adenoids removed. So my give somebody the third degree is would I need to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist just about this or what kind of specialist do I call for to talk to? Would they be taking my tonsils and adenoids out on indistinguishable day? I've never have any kind of surgery in the past so what method do they use to put you to sleep during surgery and would the medicine receive me goofy? If I get my tonsils and adenoids taken out would that cut down on some of my throat and sinus infections that I usually gain?

I feel your torment. I had mine taken out when I be 25. I no longer have the sore throats, bouts near tonsillitis and everything else that comes with it.

They used a standard anesthetic with me. It be like going to sleep. They remove your tonsils and your adenoids at like time, and there are no scar because they go contained by through your mouth. I woke up naturally, and have a slight sore throat. I was given backache medication (percoet), but I never had to use it. I saw an ENT to get hold of it done.

I had no problems next to the surgery, and I am so glad that I had it. I have the same problems you did, and boy it so much better!

I have to have mine taken out when I be 8 and yes it was done by an ear, snout and throat specialist. They take them out at duplicate time. They put you under and when you stir up you just enjoy a really sore throat and get to get through all the rime cream you want, lol. I don't remember having an awful lot of throat infections until that time then but I did hold a lot of ear infections. The object they had to come out be because an abcess had developed on my adenoids. I have to take antibiotics to treat the abcess and consequently they took them out. Now I rarely carry sick and only own a bad cold or flu I don`t know once every three years or so.
