Answers: No, it's not one and the same kind as within beer. But yes, you can get drunk. An alcohol forms when a -OH ion forms on the downfall of an organic molecule. The molecules surrounded by mouthwas, nail polish remover, etc. are different from the molecules surrounded by beer, which is why it would taste different, but it still have the -OH. Thus, it can get you drunk. I wouldn't recommend it though, as the other ingredients contained by mouthwash can kill you.
Yes, I know of two alcholics that died from drinking mouthwash, however, they did gain drunk first!
