Yawning is a way to save your brain alert. When early humans lived together contained by packs and one yawned, their brains thought "sway on - I must also be getting tired and need to stay alert".
If someone yawns the brain think there will be no more nouns and the body will be starved of oxygen. The yawn comes because the brain says the body wishes to hog all the atmosphere before someone else does. The body react the same means of access if you see a cold scene on TV and shiver, even on a hot day.
