I enjoy this phobia of needles and I don't know what to do? I've tried exposier but it make it worse!?

I really need direction because it affects EVERYTHING I do!

Answers:    A very adjectives fear/phobia to have--actually it's an entire "type" of specific phobia (in addition to animal, environmental, situational, and other types). Believe it or not, this is in actual fact a fairly trouble-free problem to treat as long as nothing else is going on and you bring your parents on board. The knob is "treat." You'll want to see a licensed psychologist who specializes in anxiety disorders (your best bet is to check out your local university...they may even be conducting a study and treat you for free!). Treatment can be provided in as little as 3 hours for various people, or perchance as long as 5-10 sessions for others. Based on your question I don't know if your exposure be done by a psychologist, yourself, or someone else. If it was a "shrink," "clinician," "counselor," "life coach," etc. consequently chances are excellent you didn't see someone who be actually well-trained to buy and sell with this type of problem. "Psychologist" is a reasonably regulated term and refers to someone who not with the sole purpose has a doctorate, but have also passed that state's licensing exam. Those other terms--who knows--they could hold no meaningful training at adjectives.

There are different treatment formats and you and your psychologist should choose which one is right for you. There are also some specific treatments you'll want to look into. If they're not doing "exposure," "muscle tension," and "cognitive-behavioral therapy" after stay away! Hypnosis, life coaching, eft, emdr, nlp, etc. and discussion for hours on end in the order of nothing...none of explicitly going to help and is just going to rip you off!

This is complex for you I know. Don't be too scared stale by exposure. It's not nearly as bad as you imagine. The entire process should be gradual, controlled, and go entirely at YOUR step. Nothing will be done to shock you or surprise you--that would just be another unpromising experience and wouldn't help.

You've get several options. Most university that have graduate programs contained by psychology have training centers where on earth the clinical psychology professors (the experts!) supervise care for a significantly reduced price (some as little as 10-15% of community prices!). You can also try ADAA or ABCT's websites and their find a psychiatric therapist links.

You taken an important step by asking the right question and realizing the apprehension is getting in the process of you living your life, in a minute the challenge is to find a qualified professional and hang on to your motivation to overcome this just for a while while longer.

Best of luck.
I hope you aren't a seamstress. You really would put the stress in seamSTRESS.
