Medicare Advantage - How does one obtain out and step final to resourceful Medicare?
Answers: You are currently locked into your plan. As of November 15 to December 31 you can make change. You will need to phone up the insurance company after 11/15 and dis-enroll. They will probably require the request in writing and some companies will hold a form they'll send you. The dis-enrollment must be completed by December 31.
As a Certified Senior Advisor I must caveat you on dis-enrolling from a MA plan. MA plans have plentiful more benefits than original medicare, i.e. no deductibles, small co-pays for copious procedures, benefits that original medicare does not cover. If you enjoy a problem with your current MA plan in that are other plans available. Visit a local independent agent that deals near senior policies to see if another plan will be better for your situation.
Also, if your current MA plan has prescription drug coverage you'll want to seize a separate stand-alone Part D plan. If you don't there will be penalty when you need to sign up again. Also, if you don't hold a Part D plan you can't sign up for one when you need it; you can lone sign up 11/15 to 12/31 each year. This vehicle if you get sick contained by February you have no relief until the next year.
