I have be struggling with a discouraging cold for a week. Last night, I took Mucinex, but I still coughed adjectives night. Then I took it again today, and I've notice I've been coughing up a great deal more sinus junk than I be before, and it's thinner. I thought Mucinex be supposed to dry up the mucus. Is this a normal side effect that might backing me get better? I couldn't win it out of my throat before.

Answers:    Mucinex help break up the congestion so you can get it out of your body. Thats typical. Give it a few days and use a vaporizer if you have one.

Water is hand down the best expectorant. And lots of it! Spend all you want on those pricey meds, but you can't whip water. However, know that if your infection is bacterial - you will have need of an antibiotic.
