How long does it thieve to bring addicted to cigarettes?

I have smoked atleast 3 pack. I'm not sure if I'm addicted. I hate the style it smells and tastes but I still smoke 4 or 5 a dark. I started a month ago. When I go 4 days lacking them, I can't stop thinking about it. Plus, I abhor myself after doing it.
