Alcohol not prevented BUT Hemp(bhaang) expelled.WHY?
Alcohol have fatal side-effects resembling damage to liver, brain & heart(Besides other numerous effects). As compared to this Hemp(bhaang) have no side effects and Opium has awfully simple side effects like nausea, constipation, etc. single. Then why ALL governments world over own banned Hemp, Opium and other comparative far smaller number harming drugs.
BUT HAVE KEPT ALCOHOL FREE & UNTOUCHED?
Will someone please explain?
Answers: I totally agree. No one get violent when they smoke pot. Pot is not addicitve (though some want you to believe it is). I hear the reason the weed is off the record and alcohol is not is because the governemnt cannot tax marijuana...shift figure. They can't bring in money so they make up lies and brainwash general public into thinking weed is 'bad' and alcohol, which kills lots of ethnic group every year, is 'okay'.
Oh and I read the answer above me and I must comment, I have never hallucinate from marijuana and I know A LOT of people who smoke it and enjoy never had those side effects. True, some nation can't handle marijuana, but lots more can't manipulate their liquor!
Alcohol is not free and untouched. As for those other drugs being benign, I cogitate you are deluding yourself or enjoy been taken within by the propaganda. Marijuana has masses side effects:
Hallucinations ( bad for when youy are driving)
Depression.
madness attacks
Slurred speech
Palpitation
Dizziness
Black-outs
Just to name a few
I agree next to you completely... people return with all liquored up and cogitate they are tough and want to start fights, or return with behind the joystick and drive like idiots. Who ever looked-for to fight after smoking a nice dube? And society drive so much slower too.
Thats one of my biggest beefs next to the USA... you can carry a gun, but you shift to jail for smoking pot? Get your priorities straight for chrissakes!!
I can't explain why the rules are close to that but I do think alcohol is worse for you consequently those drugs. Why isn't tobacco illegal? I give attention to it is worse too. But I guess those are somethings we really can't change? Not adjectives governments enjoy illegalized it completely. If you watch Pulp Fiction you'll swot about Amsterdam I believe and if you articulate to my sister she'll tell you that some american college towns hold lax laws and as expected there's the Rastafarians. But I do see your point and I chalk it up to money and prejudice and not wanting to anger large blocks of voters by pointing out the blatant. As for the effects of marijuana, alcohol also causes traffic accident, depression ( or so you'd think if you talk to some alcoholics), slurred speech, dizziness and blackouts.Yes people who are stoned shouldn't drive but like peas in a pod is true of people who hold just eat lots of turkey and people chitchat on the cell phone and people next to screaming kids in the hindmost seat and citizens who think pedestrians are element of some lethal form of automotive dodgeball.I construe it supports your argument when the disagreements are so weak.
Short Answer: It's because alcohol--with adjectives of it's horrible side effects--is traditonally more important to American society than other drugs and substances.
Alcohol have been a staple contained by this country long before the revolution. Hemp, while it may own been around, be not ingrained into the social fabric of society. Regardless of its potentially dodgy side effects, alcohol is just a bigger concord... plain and simple
And Alcohol has not remained untouched by any resources. In fact, it be such a big deal that it generate a fricking CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT (see the 18th amendment). This amendment prohibited alcohol completely! By banning alcohol, the door be opened to the mafia and other organized crime groups to operate furtive underground bars (called "speakeasies"). Just a few years then, the 18th amendment was repealed by the 21st amendment. Proving, on the other hand again, that alcohol is a big deal.
Alcohol is also HIGHLY regulated by both state and federal government. We have branches of out goverment dedicately solely to alcohol (for example, within TX, there is an enforcement agency certain as TABC - Texas Alcolhol and Beverage Comission... the Federal Government has the ATF - Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms).
In sum, lately like we adopt the use of cars, depsite the fact that over 10,000 associates die in motor accidents respectively year, America has determined that booze and ciggs are two evils that its likely to accept because of their longstanding use.
As for the other answers, they are adjectives right to a certain point, but opium and the other concrete drugs as they have be named are perilous. Hemp or pot on the other hand is not so much a menace as it is the fact that it can't be totally controlled and tax. I used to smoke it years ago, but not any more. My personal judgment point on it is I think the US organization should legalize it, not simply for it to be endorsed, but they could mass produce it and resolve some of our deficit from the revenue. Well a lot of it comes from corrupt political - buearocratic bs...
President Nixon did a commission to proof the existance of long residence harm and dive of crime and further "hard" drugs by consuming MJ. But the commission using all available resources and studies - from govt grown MJ.. could not proof this. They spent several Billion dollars of our money to do get something done this study. Rarely sighted, I might add, toward "new" childhood on MJ.
During the 60's a joint "time of war on drugs" was formed near Brittain and USA to prevent usage, trafficing, etc. This culminates to many of our current law, international issues like trade, tarrifs, bordering etc.. The previous misconceptions are intertwined near these laws/regulations... they would have to allow they were wrong inorder to start over - repeal posistions...
One also have to keep within mind the overall "mood" of the times. We were coming from an era where on earth acceptance of our leaders be status quo (for most part) and the social unrest of the "common people" who be oppressed sexually, moneitarily, racially... we were sort of "coming of age" to start off to see our leaders selfish, disadvantageous, back-stabbing. A lengthy time of war with out seemingly have a purpose or end help to pull otherwise silent folks into the melt pot of turmoil.
Great paranoia by Nixon and other leaders of this new "age" of critical thinking scar the shyte out of them. Mafia and coupes of "underground" movements helped to "shape" this supervision unrest to use drastic measures to keep the nation in check.
But next, there be those within governing body power / organizations that saw money inwardly alcohol and drugs... A book "the Great Compromise" suggests that CIA and current leadership have everything to do with arms trade, drug trafficing, wiretaping, etc... "running out means" justified.
A knotted web of cheating which has to be feed and maintained. A further distance in realness is created. Many people are only just illinformed and have lived too long below these misconceptions to believe and react any differently. Majority Rule - Mass Consent toward varying view has pushed our political contraption in the direction of preposterousness.
Like todays presidental canidates who say "building a wall" is essential. Having "national ID cards" like the 666 monster of scare, continuing to pursue "terrorists" at adjectives costs; and perpetuating the "war" within Iraq - while not helping in Africa and ignore the active corruption of Pakistan.
While I do not know of the direct answer for transfer to MJ or the above... a starting point might be to "reclassify" MJ as non-narcotic; then, adjectives could begin to see non-criminal behaviour towards it's value to use, get, grow etc.
One thing is unshakable: each individual must save check on itself... when one bad apple is see; the bushel is controlled by it's ill feat. Examples: One deranged person near gun causes gun legislation; One child bitten by correct bread of dog - necessitates the veto of all that bread of dog... etc...
Self monitoring of act as well as information... Buzz words are used to modify our behaviors and activities. Figures within the "lime light" are too persuasive within our daily choices and beliefs. Our supporting premiss of "fact" has be altered and the outcomes are chaos.
Of course, varying the politician's view that "american's" or empire in broad "are too illinformed / stupid" to know what's good for them... Legislation drawn to lure, rarefied, misconceive the people - when giving the "truth" the tangible "facts" and obligations to any referendum; most ethnic group will vote, act, or select the correct choices. One might see that, as a total, people would be smarter, better prepared and better rotten (physically, mentally, and monetarily).
This is a man made society, man made laws... ours is not Devine -
