Answers: beware. this can be very serious. i gone through such a state earlier. it got so fruitless that at the later stage i could just sleep 2 - 3 hours a day. i almost gone for the sleeping laboratory (where they analyze why you don't sleep capably by asking you to sleep in the hospital, sticking pad all over your body) surrounded by hospitals.
i tried sleeping pills. not bad, at smallest i got full 4 hours sleep minus interruption. but that's not a good solution. if your problem is not solved, you'll probably hold to increase the dosage over time, and come to one day, the doctor will not prescribe anymore sleeping pills to you.
insomnia is a psychological problem. except treated properly it can degenerate into mental problem. it could be due to something within your mind that you keep holding on. could be a character, an incident, an object, a place, a piece of guilt, a lost relation. swot up to confront to the problem.
pick up some sports. i solved my problem by running in the morning, swimming surrounded by the afternoon and cycling at night, everyday (of course not after i recovered). i made myself so tired that i crawled to bed every darkness. i guessed even a fire could not wake me up. hahaha...
I do not know your age or your duty, but seems you are irritable.Try valerian tea at night and avoid drinking coffee. Also avoid spicy foods and crowded areas. Get your PC out of your bedroom and do not watch motion movies before you jump to sleep.
If still the condition continues, you should be clinically checked and have some tablets similar to Xanax(alprazolam).
