I had surgery to remove my gallbladder final in August 2004. I have stones and I had get to the point to where I couldn't even way of walking. It was so stinging. I went through at lowest five doctors before one found out that my agony was due to stones contained by my gallbladder. At first everyone thought that it was gas or bitter build up. So I was put on Nexium, given Maalox, and even Aciphex. All of these medication didn't work at all. Since the surgery, I still experience like peas in a pod pain as until that time. It's constant pain (always there) and sometimes it obtain real extreme. I've be through everything from simple medication to a biopsy. And still my pain persist. I just want to know if in that is anyone out there experiencing equal pain or someone who have gone through the same surgery and how you cope next to it or if there is anything I can do to grasp rid of the pain.

Answers:    Yes i have mine removed in 1992 and presently i have backache under my rib resembling there is a golf bubble setting under it. I 'm still trying to find out what it is. sorry preference I could help.

It is possible they did not remove the bile ducts when they perform the surgery. I would suggest you get next to the surgeon and find out if that is the overnight case, and if so why they left it within since stones can still form in the duct.
