What exactly does an orderly do?
Answers: I can only answer to what orderlies do where on earth I work. Do know that duties will vary from place to place and from shift to shift. I work overnights and the orderly does a moment or two of everything: he transports patients from the ER to medical floors, he delivers correspondence to floors that was previously undelivered, he deliver medical equipment (IV pumps and such) to the units, he empty used linen hampers on the medical unit, and he also transports those patients who have expired to the morgue. Whether or not near is a minimum age for such a position is up to the facility. There are no minimum wage jobs where on earth I work and that too is set by the facility. The best way to find out is to inquire near the Human Resource Department of your local hospital. Good Luck
An orderly does a lot of like peas in a pod work as a Nurses Aide. Some men don't want a female nurse to go for a dip them etc. They help lift up patients, bathe, outdo water and food trays. I haven't see many orderlies around for a vastly long time. many hospitals enjoy eliminated them. They may be used more contained by Nursing homes.
