Why does it hurt around and above my belly button, even when I lay on my stomach?
Answers: I think you requirement to see a doctor, anything you get here would newly be speculation on the part of the personage answering.
In my experience anything that turns into a stabbing type of sensation can't be good especially if it have been doing so for several days.
Good Luck, hope you get the impression better soon!
Don't mess with it, especially if you own never had your appendix out. Not to speak it is appendicitis, BUT if it is, that is how it usually starts. Pain around the navel, and it eventually moves down to the lower right mitt side. If you have any other symptoms such as distress that becomes constant and again moves to the lower right foot side, fever (if you are on your own, usually a righteous way to give an account is if you get the chills!), Nausea/Vomiting, Diarrhea (sometimes even constipation)...these are the most adjectives and obvious symptoms. Accute appendicitis is an emergency, go and get to the hospital if you experience any of the above!
Other things that can cause that are sometimes problems contained by the colon and intestine (sometimes viruses twist up in near somewhere, and can take anywhere from 5-10 days to clear up!) There are also things similar to "Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)" or "Spastic Colon" that can cause those problems. Do some research possibly on may be foods that can irritate it and see if any change to your diet will help. Regardless, if you enjoy any of the above symptoms go to the emerg....as you would expect not everyone will get adjectives the symptoms, but you know yourself, you wouldn't be asking if you didn't think something be wrong. Go see the doc!
