My doctor told me I enjoy an inner ear infection, but give me no antibiotics?

I've had vertigo since concluding Wednesday with no advance. The medication my doctor prescribed me was one and only for the vertigo which doesn't really help at adjectives. I called her yesterday to agree to her know that it wasn't doing much for me as I still can't go fund to work because I can't drive & it's hard to do much of anything excluding laying down, sleeping, & watching tv. She told me that at hand was nought else she could give me & that I would freshly have to business deal with it until the infection clears up which could be up to a week. Well, this Wednesday will be a week & I own no signs of improvement. I simply am not understanding why she didn't prescribe me an antibiotic if I own an infection. Any ideas of what to do?

Answers: Infections are not other caused by microbes, and viruses don't respond to antibiotics. The infection which cause inner ear infections and vertigo is caused by a virus- and that's why no antibiotics be given. A virus takes up to a two weeks sometimes to completely walk away, and in the meantime you newly have to be forgiving. Your own immune system has to encounter this one off. About the lone thing you can do for labrynthitis is give somebody a lift medication to keep from vomiting your toenails, and rest. I sympathize- I've have the same item twice in energy. The last round hung contained by there for nearly 12 days, and I get real tired of clinging to the arms of the bench feeling approaching I was falling. There basically isn't any other cure. Antibiotics won't help, and they can set you up for other problems- so they aren't a worthy choice. Sorry, you just enjoy to wait it out.
