Are at hand any risks to taking Prednisone for an extended amount of time?

My situation is this:

I've got some mysterious throat-oriented infection that no one's been competent to figure out. Please DON'T speak "see a doctor", because trust me, I've seen plenty - a dozen to be specific. I've have over 100 blood tests done conducting tests me for everything from Lupus to cancer. No doctor has be able to find ANYTHING.

The perfect part of i.e. that they've tested me for all the really serious life-threatening things it could be, and it's none of those.

But, the point is, every few weeks I start to draw from really swollen lymph nodes in my d¨Ścolletage (always starts on only one side) that make swallowing really painful. Occasionally it comes near a fever, but usually it doesn't. Aleve and stuff sustain, but not much.

Prednisone helps. Not with the sole purpose helps, but completely fixes it. When a throat bout comes up, I start taking a 20mg tablet every morning for 3 or 4 days, after a 10mg tablet for another 2 or 3 days, and it's gone. I did that for the past year, just about every month or two.

Answers:    Prednisone is completely safe to clutch for extended amounts of time. I have be on the medicine immediately for over a year and a half. It is used almost constantly within organ transplant recipients such as myself. We use it to maintain from rejecting our organs. However, there are side effects from this prescription just approaching any other. Weight gain is a major problem as capably as the "moon face" that most get. You will also probably experience excessive fuzz growth in places you didn't even know that you could grow mane. Hope this helps!
You may experience solidity gain...that's what I had.
